...Who let the Dogs Out...

Man..there's nothing greater than the light reflecting off the snow to capture some pretty shots! This is "Oscar"..my brother's dog who lives at my Mom and Dad's house. He's still a puppy.. (7 mos. old)..and is a HORSE! He jumps up on me..he's TALLER than me!! NOT FAIR!

YIPPPEEE!!! Dad was discharged from the hospital today...and is looking lots lots better!!
THANK YOU to everyone who sent messages or emails saying they were sending Dad prayers and well wishes...THEY WORKED :)
He's doing lots better..and is soooo happy to be back home and back in his Tight Whities!! lol

.. Hospitals are gross ...

but snowflakes are pretty..and fun :)

Mom and I at the hospital in Medina, NY today to see my Dad. He went into emergency surgery on monday to have a pacemaker put in. :( He was in critical condition..and made it thru surgery ok. The pacemaker is doing great according to the doctors and nurses.. but his blood (hct) level is a little low..so they are giving him a couple of units of blood right now.

Hopefully when we go back after dinner..he will be looking a little better.

It started after midnite last nite..and hasn't stopped yet!! IM SOOOO EXCITED!!!! I feel like a little kid again!!! :)

I even got to go out and shovel..take pics..and play with the dog in the SNOW!!! weeeeeeeee!!

Typographic Poster - Got Wood??

Ok..so having a cold can be a good thing..cuz it forces you to sit and do nothing..or at least something that doesn't require too much movement ..

so thats what I did..

Chris over at Spooner Graphics gives a great tutorial on how to create a typographic poster..

check it out and give it a try!

although i had troubles trying to space out my words evenly..grrrr.. it was fun..and maybe if i had spent another hour tweaking it..it might just be perfect lol

"Tippecanoe" Ave = a street in San Bernadino that i just love saying.. and cuz if it wasn't for this word.."Tippy" the kitty would have some other strange name.

"Truffles" = one word: YUM

"Tampons" = thank the lord for the cotton pony sticks! how you ladies can wear those big honkin pads I'll never know!

"Thumbs" = dogs wish they had them! (and my thumb got me thru many a nites as a child! im fortunate I didn't grow 'buckers')

"Thumper" = my favorite Bambi character.

OK.. now its your turn. Im sure i have plenty more "T" words that i love or am grateful for.. but if I continue on under this 'tylenol induced haze' that Im experiencing.. the list may never end!

L.A. at Nite

Tim and I headed into LA the other nite for a party..and stayed at the Hilton LAX.. 14th floor..corner room..and had an amazing view of the Airport ..

The lights at nite were way cool... and the sunset was amazing.

and this wine bottle label is way cool too...

Things that make me smile this morning...

1. A smile because the Chargers won last nite against the Colts!!

2. Betsy-Boo rubbing up against my legs this morning as she greets me with a "Good Morning..please feed me!" meow.

3. These quilled hearts. I've made about a hundred of them.. now to figure out what to do with them! Feel free to offer suggestions!

4. Tippy.. for just being so darn cute!

5. Hearing the birds singing this morning.. I don't know why.. but this morning they seem particulary 'chirpier'
6. Something in the morning air that feels like its going to be a nice day.

7. The warmth of the sun on my cheeks as I stand and wait for Honey to 'do her thing'.

8. Knowing back inside..there is fresh coffee :)

9. Having all my kids home last nite.. under one roof.. playing playstation together.

10. Hearing the sounds of kids wandering around.. watching Tim read the paper.. and feeling loved.

Im hooked.

on Rockband.

Curse my daughter's boyfriend for showing me such entertainment.

My house will never get cleaned now.

Dishes will accumulate.

Legs will go unshaven.

Pets neglected.

Toe-jam will collect.

Take-out's will be ordered on a nightly basis.

Appointments will be missed.

Carpal Tunnel is inevitable.

Clear the Slate...start fresh...

..mend fences..re-establish relationships and make a plan to do a lil bit of good each day. These are my plans for 2009.
