More Eyes...

Slowly but surely...my family is cooperating with my strange request to photograph their eyes... :)

Heterochromia (also known as a heterochromia iridis or heterochromia iridium) is an ocular condition in which one iris is a different color from the other (complete heterochromia), or where part of one iris is a different color from the remainder (partial heterochromia or sectoral heterochromia). It is a result of the relative excess or lack of pigment within an iris or part of an iris, which may be inherited or acquired by disease or injury.

Backyard Visitors...

We have a family of 6 bunnies visiting our yard lately... They are just so darn cute!! They keep Honey 'hopping' as she chases them off!
Really she just wants to sniff them and be friends.. but they just don't see to wanna stay put :)

Here's what we found today.. on our hill in our backyard.. trying to escape down a hole..i quickly grabbed him and got to 'pet' him and enjoy him a bit before releasing him into the field behind our house..

not just on the canvas.. but as i paint..i find myself in a sort of dreamy escape.. with each stroke of the paintbrush or thru the squiggle of a crayon.. my mind wanders and drifts..to far away happy places..meandering down the painted path.. to a land of magical colors and fantasies..

I've Been TAGGED!!!! YIKES!!!

Thanks alot Nicole!!! (see raggedyoldannies blog for adorable raggedies!) lol Now I must confess 6 things that are WEIRD about me ..for the whole world to view!! lol
If you have met me already.. im sure those 6 weird thoughts come very easily to you :)
I tossed the question out to my family..and they managed to remind me of a couple..
Ok..Here are The Rules:
Each player of this game starts with "6 weird things about you". Each person who gets tagged needs to write a blog post of their own 6 weird things as well as clearly state this rule. 6 Wierd Things About Me:

1. I cannot eat a meal with a small fork ( you know those smaller forks that come with your set.. are they the salad forks?? ) I MUST have the larger fork!

2. When choosing a glass from the cupboard to drink from, I 'blow' into it.. I have no idea why.. before filling it

3. There are certain bowls in my cupboard that i just cant stand. Nothing personal.. the style is cute.. but i just dont like them lol

4. Before starting a project..i have to first 'clean' or pick up the house before I can settle back to start the creative juices

5. I hate touching newspaper. After reading the paper..i feel the need to wash my hands

6. I still..to this day.. can not swear in front of my parents or elders!!!

im drawn toward the window..

morning comes without a sound and dresses the pane in a hazey slumber.

can it be that simple?

with merely a wave of my hand across the glass..

in one smooth, innocent movement,

i am now wide awake and can see very clearly.
